Plagiocephaly is a change in the head shape of a child or infant. Because the bones of the skull are not fused in babies, they will shift when pressure occurs on one part of the head. Torticollis and plagiocephaly often occur together. When babies look to only one side because of tight neck muscles, they are putting pressure on one spot on the back of the head.
