Auditory Processing Disorder is also known as Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). This is a complex disorder that affects the way children hear information spoken to them. This is secondary to the way their brain recognizes and interprets sounds, most commonly sounds that form into speech. Children may have difficulty recognizing the subtle difference between the sounds in words, most commonly when paired with background noise.

Lowcountry Therapy has a solution for this. Call or contact us today for information on the various types of CAPD therapy we offer.
